"ONLY LOVE PREVAILS" ...."I've loved you for a thousand years; I'll love you for a thousand more....."

As we are in the winter of our lives, I dedicate this to Andrew, Dr. John J.C. Jr. and Gary W., MD, (who has gone on before us). My love and admiration is unfathomable for each of you..........and what you have brought into this world.....so profoundly to me.
The metaphors are rich and provocative; we're in them now. This world is indeed disappearing, and the richest eternal world awaits us!
The intensity, as was in each of the three of us, is in yellow!
In my heart forever.........

Slowly the truth is loading
I'm weighted down with love
Snow lying deep and even
Strung out and dreaming of
Night falling on the city
Quite something to behold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world

We're threading hope like fire

Down through the desperate blood
Down through the trailing wire
Into the leafless wood

Night falling on the city
Quite something to behold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world
This disappearing world

I'll be sticking right there with it
I'll be by y
our side
Sailing like a silver bullet
Hit 'em 'tween the eyes
Through the smoke and rising water
Cross the great divide
Baby till it all feels right

Night falling on the city
Sparkling red and gold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world
This
disappearing world
This disappearing world
This disappearing world

TECHNOLOGY..........

In “Conversations with God”, by Neale Donald Walsch, there is a warning I think of. I refer to it as the Atlantis passage, and I've quoted it a few times before." As I have said, this isn't the first time your civilization has been at this brink,"

God tells Walsch. "I want to repeat this, because it is vital that you hear this. Once before on your planet, the technology you developed was far greater than your ability to use it responsibly. You are approaching the same point in human history again. It is vitally important that you understand this. Your present technology is threatening to outstrip your ability to use it wisely. Your society is on the verge of becoming a product of your technology rather than your technology being a product of your society. When a society becomes a product of its own technology, it destroys itself."

"It's ok a doctor prescribed it!"

By John Terrett inon May 7th, 2011.

[EPA]
In the United States the number of people hospitalised for prescription drug abuse has increased four hundred percent in the past ten years.
The small town of Portsmouth, Ohio is the epicentre of the problem.
Over thirty people - many in their early twenties - have died from prescription drug abuse.
One in ten babies born in Scioto County (Sy-oh-toe) last year tested positive for drugs.
Fatal overdoses have surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of accidental death in Ohio.
I met Andrea Queen, a reformed abuser at her new place of work in Portsmouth a clinic helping today's abusers.
A friend told Andrea to take a prescription pill one evening - "just to get the party going," he said.  It led to a habit that nearly killed her.  She told me:
"This growing sense of paranoia helped convince me that I needed to take myself out of this world that killing myself would be the one way out."
Ed Hughes is the Executive Director of The Counseling Center Inc and has been charting the rise of prescription drug abuse in Ohio.  He shows me a series of maps showing the counties in the State ... each one he hands me gets progressively redder in colour.
"We had high admissions for opiate addictions in 2001 and then when we look eight years later in 2009."
Street clinics known as Pill Mills dole out the highly addictive opiate Oxycotton (OxyContin is the official name) to anyone with the money to pay for it some doctors in the area are cashing in on this big business. Ed told me:Scioto County is an area once known for steel and shoe making but which now has one of the highest rates of prescription drug abuse in the state of Ohio...and the country
."Most of the time they're doctors that have become marginalised in their profession they're, you know, they've had problems with their practice or problems with their hospitals ...more than one of the Pill Mills here in our community are owned and operated by people who have had past felony drug offences."
Andrea's recovering from the prescription drug hell that almost ended her life and now counsels others .. with a warning:
"Don't do it doesn't get the party going it gets the addiction going."
Not everybody recovers from prescription drug abuse and a wall in the display window of an empty department store in Portsmouth is testimony to that.
It contains the names of thirty six people who have died in this area as a result of abusing prescription drugs.
Joanna Krohns knows this all too well.  She lost her son Wes when he accidentally shot himself while high on painkillers.  She's now started a group called Solace to help other grieving parents.
"When you lose a child it's such a devastating thing I didn't really know where to turn, who to turn talk to and I thought if I can just reach out to other parents give them somebody to talk to give them hope so that's kind of what I did."
The wall in downtown Portsmouth containing so many young faces - the majority were around the age of twenty two - is heartbreaking to look at.
Easy access to painkillers right across America means many more are likely to lose their lives too.

Paul H. Smith: remote viewing program for DOD, ret. Army Intel Officer

ADDITIONAL ARTICLES/PAPERS:

( a presenter, and referred by the Rhine Center at Duke University)

About the Author:

Paul H. Smith, a retired Army intelligence officer and Operation Desert Storm veteran, spent seven years in the Department of Defense's remote-viewing program, serving as operational remote viewer, theory instructor and trainer, security officer, and unit historian. Smith has a B.A. in Middle Eastern studies from Brigham Young University, and an M.S. in Strategic Intelligence (Middle East emphasis) from the Defense Intelligence College, and is a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. He is president of Remote Viewing Instructional Services, Inc., and president of the nonprofit International Remote Viewing Association.
Product Description:

If you thought The Manchurian Candidate was fiction or John Farris's The Fury, which featured a CIA mind-control program run amok, was the stuff of an overheated imagination, you were sorely mistaken.

From behind the cloak of U.S. military secrecy comes the story of Star Gate, the project that for nearly a quarter of a century trained soldiers and civilian spies in extra-sensory perception (ESP). Their objective: To search out the secrets of America's cold war enemies using a skill called "remote viewing." Paul H. Smith, a U.S. Army Major, was one of these viewers. Assigned to the remote viewing unit in 1983 at a pivotal time in its history, Smith served for the rest of the decade, witnessing and taking part in many of the seminal national-security crises of the twentieth century.

With the Star Gate secrets declassified and the program mothballed by the Central Intelligence Agency, the story can now be told of the ordinary soldiers drafted onto the battlefield of human consciousness. Using hundreds of interviews with the key players in the Star Gate program, and gathering thousands of pages of documents, Smith opens the records on this remarkable chapter in American military, scientific, and cultural history. He reveals many secrets about how remote viewing works and how it was used against enemy targets. Among these stories are the search for hostages in Lebanon; spying on Soviet directed energy weapons; investigating the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland; tracking foreign testing of weapons of mass destruction; combating narco-trafficking off America's coasts; aiding in the Iranian hostage situation; finding KGB moles in the CIA; pursuing Middle East terrorists; and more.

Between the lines in the official records are revelations about unrelenting attempts from within and without to destroy the remote viewing program, and the efforts that kept Star Gate going for more than two decades in spite of its enemies. This is a story for the believer and the skeptic---a rare look at the innards of a top secret program and an eye-opening treatise on the power of the human mind to transcend the limitations of space and time.

Dowsing and Raymon Grace

I have had the honor of attending days of Raymond Grace dowsing training.  I confess, there was a part of the skeptic in me that needed satisfying. In hindsight, I know that I did not have a deeper knowledge of energy ... how it works ... and how we can access it. Raymon works worldwide with this, and this is also used by the U.S. Military.  In itself, those two facts settled me down a bit.

Dowsing has been a course of study for me, and today I am so confident that I dowse several times a week. post after this one, details dowsing, and how it is used by the US military. (There is a link on the right side of this page for Raymon.)  He is one of the most clear, logical, and spiritual men I know, and his work, internationally and nationally is impressive.  There is a former post about him in this blog.

The art is one of intention, and  intuition ..... and I continue to be amazed by results.  This video is an introduction by Raymon Grace.

Military Remote Viewing and Dowsing

LEARN DOWSING DVD

Since its first beginnings, remote viewing has been plagued by the so-called "search problem." This is so because remote viewing is a "descriptive" technique, where a target and its surroundings can be described, sometimes with remarkable accuracy, by a person using mental powers alone. Unfortunately, it is often difficult for a remote viewer to provide precise information about the position of a missing object, person, or unknown location. I put it this way: Remote viewers can "find" something that is missing; they just can't "locate" it very well.
As one solution to the search problem, we in the military remote viewing program at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, often looked to the ancient art of dowsing for help. Over the years we developed some new approaches to dowsing and adapted older dowsing techniques to suit the problems we had to solve. Like remote viewing, dowsing wasn't always successful for us - but it did work often enough to become a valuable tool in support of military intelligence operations. It can do the same for you.

I have talked about dowsing for years in conjunction with the work done at Fort Meade, though never in great detail. Over the years I also have introduced many of my advanced course CRV students to RV-related dowsing techniques as an added element to their remote viewing training. But with the recent declassification and public release of the CIA's Star Gate Program archives, it is now possible to present a complete course in the fundamentals of military dowsing, and how it can be applied in your everyday lives in situations where you can't get all the facts, but still need to take action. In discussion with Intuitive Design, a production company specializing in state-of-the-art video-training presentations, I decided a DVD-based documentary and guided-study course would be the best way to reach people interested in this skill-set in a timely manner and without them having to make the lengthy trek to Austin, TX for in-person training. Order this DVD by going toLearnDowsing.com
I wish you, in the words of the dowsing community's motto, indago felix -- a fruitful search.

FOR MOTHERS :From Simple Truths..."Even Eagles Need A Push"

This brief video, from Simple Truths, is about the necessity that every mother, in any way she deems, must give that loving push.

Every good mother knows the angst; the "this will hurt me more than you"; the absolute spirit of courage and sacrifice; and the small sadness of knowing that it may take the "child" a bit of time to recognize the value of "the push".  And yet, it is the sacrificial act of being a mother.

This push, is indeed, the truest, most heroic and archetypal form of love.

The Dalai Lama on bin Laden's death

What does one of the most highly-regarded spiritual leaders in the world think about the death of Osama bin Laden?
The Dalai Lama weighed in on the killing of bin Laden Tuesday while speaking at the University of Southern California. The Tibetan Buddhist leader seemed to imply that the United States was justified in taking out the al Qaeda leader. According to the Los Angeles Times, the 75-year-old leader said:
"Forgiveness doesn't mean forget what happened... If something is serious and it is necessary to take counter-measures, you have to take counter-measures."
The speech, entitled "Secular Ethics, Human Values and Society," was given during the Dalai Lama's first visit to the U.S. since stepping down as the daily political leader of the Tibetan government in exile. The Los Angeles Times reports that, while his views on bin Laden are making headlines, the speech was largely focused on spiritual matters.

Pentagon, White House Can’t Get Their Bin Laden Fairy Tale Straight

The purported Bin Laden raid hoax gets kookier by the minute. The account has already changed multiple times over as the Pentagon and the White House do not seem to be able to get their story straight with each other. The entire debacle is only serving to throw up more questions and create more doubt over the legitimacy of the entire fable.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday “Even I am confused” when he was questioned over the exact details of the Navy SEAL raid on the so called “compound”.
Carney made of number of revisions to the original account that was relayed Monday by Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan and other Pentagon officials.
While Brennan had said that Bin Laden engaged in a firefight with US commandos and resisted capture, Carney told reporters that the al qaeda leader “was not armed”.
“He [bin Laden] was engaged in a firefight with those that entered the area of the house he was in. And whether or not he got off any rounds, I quite frankly don’t know,” Brennan had said Monday. Other pentagon officials told the same story earlier in the day.
When questioned on Tuesday, however, Carney said that “resistance does not require a firearm” but directed questions about how bin Laden “resisted” to the Pentagon. This followed a background, off-camera briefing for television reporters later Monday, during which a senior White House official said bin Laden was not armed when he was killed.
Pakistani officials have even suggested that there wasn’t even a shot fired in the raid, which contradicts the US government assertion that al qaeda henchmen were firing indiscriminately at the special ops team.
Details about the use of a woman as a human shield have also been chopped and changed multiple times.
At a Pentagon briefing early on Monday, a senior defense official said bin Laden was hiding behind a woman so he could get shots away at the US soldiers. “He was firing behind her,” the official said.
This was then expounded upon by Brennan who said Bin Laden was “hiding behind women who were put in front of him as a shield,”
A woman killed in the raid was bin Laden’s wife, Brennan said: “She was positioned in a way that indicated that she was being used as a shield.”
Yet later that account was altered by another Pentagon official who claimed Bin Laden’s wife was “injured but not killed,” and that “A different guy’s wife was killed”.
Then yet another official familiar with the operation said it did not appear that any woman was used as a human shield.
Then Tuesday, Press Secretary Carney said that when Bin Laden was approached, the Al Qaeda leader’s “wife” rushed the US forces. The woman was shot in the leg but not killed, Carney said.
Conveniently, this wife who was dead, but then not dead, has also now identified Bin Laden’s body both to the Navy SEALs and Pakistani authorities. You know, the body they dumped in the sea, and the Pakistani authorities that were not involved, but then were involved and then were not involved again.
Another part of the story that has been revised is Brennan’s assertion that Bin Laden’s son Khalid was killed in the attack. However, the official White House transcript of the on the record briefing states that it was a different son named Hamza, who was killed.
Quite why Brennan had gotten these fundamental details wrong is unclear given that he was one of the officials supposedly watching the entire raid via a live video feed.
Here is Brennan’s briefing:
Here is Carney’s “revised” account:
Carney also noted that there is a discrepancy in the number of floors raided by the SEAL team inside the luxury mansion “compound”, a description in itself that has since been seriously questioned given that the dwelling had no air conditioning, had damp and growing around it and contained only a small triangular plot of land at the back, according to reporters on the scene.
In addition, the value of the property, originally said to be $1 million dollars, is way off the mark according to property professionals in Abbottabad, who say it is worth less than a quarter of that amount.
In short, it is a less than attractive house that is nothing out of the ordinary for where it is located, which is most likely why the people in the immediate vicinityfind it laughable and beyond ridiculous to suggest that they were neighbours of Osama Bin Laden for six years.
Why can’t the government get it’s story straight? Is the White House intentionally muddying the waters to divert attention to the minutia of the event and away from the fact that the entire scenario is on it’s face ludicrous? Or are they just flat out lying through their teeth?

"What Is Emotional Abuse?"

from the Counseling Center at the University Of Illinois:

What is Emotional Abuse?

Abuse is any behavior that is designed to control and subjugate another human being through the use of fear, humiliation, and verbal or physical assaults. Emotional abuse is any kind of abuse that is emotional rather than physical in nature. It can include anything from verbal abuse and constant criticism to more subtle tactics, such as intimidation, manipulation, and refusal to ever be pleased.
Emotional abuse is like brain washing in that it systematically wears away at the victim’s self-confidence, sense of self-worth, trust in their own perceptions, and self-concept. Whether it is done by constant berating and belittling, by intimidation, or under the guise of “guidance,” “teaching,” or “advice,” the results are similar. Eventually, the recipient of the abuse loses all sense of self and remnants of personal value. Emotional abuse cuts to the very core of a person, creating scars that may be far deeper and more lasting than physical ones (Engel, 1992, p. 10).

Types of Emotional Abuse

Emotional abuse can take many forms. Three general patterns of abusive behavior include aggressing, denying, and minimizing.
Aggressing
  • Aggressive forms of abuse include name-calling, accusing, blaming, threatening, and ordering. Aggressing behaviors are generally direct and obvious. The one-up position the abuser assumes by attempting to judge or invalidate the recipient undermines the equality and autonomy that are essential to healthy adult relationships. This parent-to-child pattern of communication (which is common to all forms of verbal abuse) is most obvious when the abuser takes an aggressive stance.
  • Aggressive abuse can also take a more indirect form and may even be disguised as “helping.” Criticizing, advising, offering solutions, analyzing, probing, and questioning another person may be a sincere attempt to help. In some instances, however, these behaviors may be an attempt to belittle, control, or demean rather than help. The underlying judgmental “I know best” tone the abuser takes in these situations is inappropriate and creates unequal footing in peer relationships.
Denying
  • Invalidating seeks to distort or undermine the recipient’s perceptions of their world. Invalidating occurs when the abuser refuses or fails to acknowledge reality. For example, if the recipient confronts the abuser about an incident of name calling, the abuser may insist, “I never said that,” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, “ etc.
  • Withholding is another form of denying. Withholding includes refusing to listen, refusing to communicate, and emotionally withdrawing as punishment. This is sometimes called the “silent treatment.”
  • Countering occurs when the abuser views the recipient as an extension of themselves and denies any viewpoints or feelings which differ from their own.
Minimizing
  • Minimizing is a less extreme form of denial. When minimizing, the abuser may not deny that a particular event occurred, but they question the recipient’s emotional experience or reaction to an event. Statements such as “You’re too sensitive,” “You’re exaggerating,” or “You’re blowing this out of proportion” all suggest that the recipient’s emotions and perceptions are faulty and not to be trusted.
  • Trivializing, which occurs when the abuser suggests that what you have done or communicated is inconsequential or unimportant, is a more subtle form of minimizing.
  • Denying and minimizing can be particularly damaging. In addition to lowering self-esteem and creating conflict, the invalidation of reality, feelings, and experiences can eventually lead you to question and mistrust your own perceptions and emotional experience.

Understanding Abusive Relationships

No one intends to be in an abusive relationship, but individuals who were verbally abused by a parent or other significant person often find themselves in similar situations as an adult. If a parent tended to define your experiences and emotions, and judge your behaviors, you may not have learned how to set your own standards, develop your own viewpoints, and validate your own feelings and perceptions. Consequently, the controlling and defining stance taken by an emotional abuser may feel familiar or even comfortable to you, although it is destructive.
Recipients of abuse often struggle with feelings of powerlessness, hurt, fear, and anger. Ironically, abusers tend to struggle with these same feelings. Abusers are also likely to have been raised in emotionally abusive environments and they learn to be abusive as a way to cope with their own feelings of powerlessness, hurt, fear and anger. Consequently, abusers may be attracted to people who see themselves as helpless or who have not learned to value their own feelings, perceptions, or viewpoints. This allows the abuser to feel more secure and in control, and avoid dealing with their own feelings and self-perceptions.
Understanding the pattern of your relationships, especially those with family members and other significant people, is a first step toward change. A lack of clarity about who you are in relationship to significant others may manifest itself in different ways. For example, you may act as an “abuser” in some instances and as a “recipient” in others. You may find that you tend to be abused in your romantic relationships, allowing your partners to define and control you. In friendships, however, you may play the role of abuser by withholding, manipulating, trying to “help” others, etc. Knowing yourself and understanding your past can prevent abuse from being recreated in your life.

Are You Abusive to Yourself?

Often we allow people into our lives who treat us as we expect to be treated. If we feel contempt for ourselves or think very little of ourselves, we may pick partners or significant others who reflect this image back to us. If we are willing to tolerate negative treatment from others, or treat others in negative ways, it is possible that we also treat ourselves similarly. If you are an abuser or a recipient, you may want to consider how you treat yourself. What sorts of things do you say to yourself? Do thoughts such as “I’m stupid” or “I never do anything right” dominate your thinking? Learning to love and care for ourselves increases self-esteem and makes it more likely that we will have healthy, intimate relationships.

Basic Rights in a Relationship

If you have been involved in emotionally abusive relationships, you may not have a clear idea of what a healthy relationship is like. Evans (1992) suggests the following as basic rights in a relationship for you and your partner:
  • The right to good will from the other.
  • The right to emotional support.
  • The right to be heard by the other and to be responded to with courtesy.
  • The right to have your own view, even if the other has a different view.
  • The right to have your feelings and experience acknowledged as real.
  • The right to receive a sincere apology for any jokes you may find offensive.
  • The right to clear and informative answers to questions that concern what is legitimately your business.
  • The right to live free from accusation and blame.
  • The right to live free from criticism and judgment.
  • The right to have your work and your interests spoken of with respect.
  • The right to encouragement.
  • The right to live free from emotional and physical threat.
  • The right to live free from angry outbursts and rage.
  • The right to be called by no name that devalues you.
  • The right to be respectfully asked rather than ordered.

What Can You Do?

If you recognize yourself or your relationships in this brochure, you may wish to:
  • Educate yourself about emotionally abusive relationships. Two excellent resources include:
    Engle, Beverly, M.F.C.C.
The Emotionally Abused Woman: Overcoming Destructive Patterns and Reclaiming Yourself. New York: Fawcett Columbine, 1992.
    Evans, Patricia.
The Verbally Abusive Relationship: How to Recognize It and How to Respond. Holbrook, Massachusetts: Bob Adams, Inc., 1992.
  • Consider seeing a mental health professional. A counselor can help you understand the impact of an emotionally abusive relationship. A counselor can also help you learn healthier ways of relating to others and caring for your own needs.
