With immense love I wish Happy Birthday to my three grandchildren!

May 22: Brannock

May 30: Brinkley

June 12: Brogan

All three have birthdays in the same 22 days of the year ....what a busy time for the family!

"An Unending Love"

This blog and video is devoted and dedicated to my precious daughter Jennifer, my grand daughters Brogan and Brinkley, and my grand son Brannock. They are hearts of my heart. Our connection through many lives..... is utterly infinite.

"ONLY LOVE PREVAILS" ...."I've loved you for a thousand years; I'll love you for a thousand more....."

As we are in the winter of our lives, I dedicate this to Andrew, Dr. John J.C. Jr. and Gary W., MD, (who has gone on before us). My love and admiration is unfathomable for each of you..........and what you have brought into this world.....so profoundly to me.
The metaphors are rich and provocative; we're in them now. This world is indeed disappearing, and the richest eternal world awaits us!
The intensity, as was in each of the three of us, is in yellow!
In my heart forever.........

Slowly the truth is loading
I'm weighted down with love
Snow lying deep and even
Strung out and dreaming of
Night falling on the city
Quite something to behold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world

We're threading hope like fire

Down through the desperate blood
Down through the trailing wire
Into the leafless wood

Night falling on the city
Quite something to behold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world
This disappearing world

I'll be sticking right there with it
I'll be by y
our side
Sailing like a silver bullet
Hit 'em 'tween the eyes
Through the smoke and rising water
Cross the great divide
Baby till it all feels right

Night falling on the city
Sparkling red and gold
Don't it just look so pretty
This disappearing world
This
disappearing world
This disappearing world
This disappearing world

TECHNOLOGY..........

In “Conversations with God”, by Neale Donald Walsch, there is a warning I think of. I refer to it as the Atlantis passage, and I've quoted it a few times before." As I have said, this isn't the first time your civilization has been at this brink,"

God tells Walsch. "I want to repeat this, because it is vital that you hear this. Once before on your planet, the technology you developed was far greater than your ability to use it responsibly. You are approaching the same point in human history again. It is vitally important that you understand this. Your present technology is threatening to outstrip your ability to use it wisely. Your society is on the verge of becoming a product of your technology rather than your technology being a product of your society. When a society becomes a product of its own technology, it destroys itself."

"Just a beginning fragment" TBC

Those of you who know be know that I love kids. Seriously!
I am aware of many adults who are somewhat apathetic, even when it is their own child. I no longer waste time wondering why.
When I was young, I always volunteered to help in kid groups which did arts, music, cooking, etc. I LOVED those times!

That went on for years, and when I went to school to be a psychotherapist, the decision to specialize in that group of little humans was so very easy.  In the meanwhile, I had "on and off" raised three stepchildren, and then we had a beautiful little girl of our own. Being a mid-life scholar was amazing, because by then I had a deep sense of the realms I wished to walk in, practice-wise. Add to that what, at the time, was a challenge ..... adolescents.
And so, everything evolved ..... and nothing was so energizing as learning about these folks! (My daughter used to call her three "The Shorties")
Initially, I thought that process ... well, how hard could it be? Really!
That original opinion showed how very much I had to learn!
The first thing was that underestimating kids was a huge mistake. Oh, sure, the "books" will provide you with endless "scientific" facts, but the quickest way to put that in perspective was to spend 5-10 minutes talking with a kid about  ... well, basically anything.
Even more fun is to simply flow with their ideas as they speak. This absolutely shows how quick their minds are.  Their thoughts dance with a tempo and velocity. One could interpret them as childish banter, but kids' banter is much deeper than we initially think.
I think that kids often get frustrated, because they have some kiddie radar, which  rapidly sizes up intent, compassion, humor, and anger of adults with whom they interact.

It's True: Misogyny Is at the Heart of Right-Wing Politics

Republicans really do hate women
Photo Credit: Office of the Vice President
They really do hate women.
It's long been frowned upon to acknowledge this fundamental truth: Misogyny is at the heart of right-wing politics. Pointing out that hatred of women and a desire to keep them under the boot is an animating force of Republican politics is sure to draw pained expressions from many liberal men, certain that the feminists are being hysterical again. Surely feminists don't think it's quite as simple as that, right? Surely we understand that anti-abortion views are about a sincere belief that life begins at conception and anyway, Republicans aren't serious when they say they're going to ban abortion. That's just something they say to rile up the rubes, to trick them into voting for the real agenda, which is about economics and taxes. Certainly you women can't think you are important enough that oppressing you is a major priority for Republicans, right?
We're not hearing that argument much these days, though the price that had to be paid for the wake-up call was steep indeed: The election of a gloating misogynist who brags about his lengthy career sexual assault. Now the Senate, with Friday's cloture vote to move forward with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, is one step from seating a piggish frat boy who has been credibly accused of abusive sexual conduct by multiple women to the Supreme Court. Once there, he will almost certainly be the fifth vote to gut abortion rights and to start chipping away at LGBT rights and contraception access.
SPONSORED
In his famous 2004 book, "What's the Matter With Kansas," Thomas Frank laid down the argument that became almost a doctrine in some quarters of the left, which was that gender politics and the culture war and gender politic were just distractions thrown up by Republicans to bait the masses into voting against their economic self-interest. Frank wrote that culture war politics "may count when conservatives appear on the stump," but "once conservatives are in office the only old-fashioned situation they care to revive is an economic regimen of low wages and lax regulations."
"Abortion is never halted. Affirmative action is never abolished," he intoned, setting up a decade-plus of liberal men, right through the 2016 election, insinuating that feminist priorities like electing more women to office were a distraction from real issues. That pressure campaign was largely successful, leaving many women too ashamed to be frumpy feminists who were mysteriously undermining the progressive cause to get excited about the possibility of electing a feminist like Hillary Clinton.
Seems like feminists aren't being shamed into silence so easily these days. The videos populating social media from the protests at the Hart Senate Building are a cacophony of mostly female voices raised high, screaming disapproval of the Kavanaugh nomination and no longer intimidated by accusations that they are shrill, hysterical or, heaven help us, not sexy. And Republican reactions strongly suggest their misogyny is more than an act put on to bamboozle the yokels.
"I want to make it clear to these people who are chasing my members around the hall here or harassing them at the airports or going to their homes, we’re not going to be intimidated by these people," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said of the protesters.
“When you grow up, I’ll be glad to [speak to you],” Sen. Orrin Hatch snapped at a group of protesters, equating grown women with children who need a scolding.
“You needed to go to the cops,” Sen. Lindsey Graham told another protester when she confronted him about her own history of rape, implying that he --  with no information about her situation -- understood her options better than she did.
Sen. Ben Sasse dismissed the protests by women against Kavanaugh as "hysteria" three times during the original confirmation hearing, when the focus was primarily on reproductive rights and before sexual assault became an issue.
Donald Trump, of course, is screeching on Twitter about how the protesters are "paid" and funded by "Soros," because it is impossible for him imagine that women might actually have minds of their own.
Let's be clear that the women clogging up the halls of Congress are not paid or idiots or children or harpies. These protests are being led by women who are speaking out about their own experiences with sexual abuse. This dismissal of the intelligence or honesty of sexual assault survivors is sadly not surprising. That is how women's stories of sexual abuse have been discredited since forever. That's how Christine Blasey Ford's moving testimony against Kavanaugh is being discredited. This has nothing to do with what's true or most believable or most backed by evidence. It's about asserting that women's voices have no value, no matter what they're saying or how true it is.
Feminists have had fun with our jokes about "misandry" or "well-behaved women seldom make history" bumper stickers. But truth be told, most of us have still lived in the abiding hope that being good girls who ask nicely will get us closer to equality. Certainly that was the main theme of Clinton's campaign, which highlighted her hard work, her qualifications and her demeanor of grandmotherly kindness. Her supporters largely followed that lead, keeping their gripes about sexism to private Facebook groups and listservs and putting on a cheerful face to the world.
For that, Clinton got called a "nasty woman" and lost anyway.
Christine Blasey Ford's testimony was more of the same. She had a soft, girlish voice and a winsome demeanor, completely without guile. She was vulnerable, not angry. She came across as someone who really believed that if the Senate knew the truth, it would do the right thing.
Now she's getting smeared as a liar or a crazy woman and lost anyway.
In the instant classic work of feminist philosophy, "Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny," Kate Manne disputes the naive conception of misogyny as some sort of knee-jerk hatred of women. Instead, she argues that it's about the policing of women. A misogynist is perfectly happy with women if they behave the way he wants them to, by being servile and pleasing. But when women start to resist their assigned role and start insisting on respect, justice and equality, the fangs will come out.
We saw the truth of Manne's theory play out throughout this Kavanaugh hearing. Oh, we heard so much about how Kavanaugh loved the silent, smiling women and girls who were brought out to flank him at every public appearance. A great deal of attention was paid to letting us know exactly how much Kavanaugh adores the women who populate his world and take orders from him, such as his law clerks and the girls on the basketball team he coaches.
But when women started saying no to him and started speaking up, he got red-faced, screaming and self-pitying. Republicans in Congress were so deeply moved by his performance because they, too, cannot believe these women who think they have a right to speak out. That was why it had to be Brett Kavanaugh, rather than substituting in some other right-wing judge with equivalent qualifications and fewer allegations of drunken sexual assault.  Because Republican misogyny is not an act, and the party and its followers eagerly seized this opportunity to put women in their place.

Family Alienation

Each of us must help to bring awareness to this global epidemic. Our grandchildren and grandparents spend years living with feelings of hurt, shock, sadness, bewilderment, anger, betrayal, and helplessness as a victim of the injustice of Grandparent Alienation.
Initiate conversations with others and discover that almost everyone has some level of alienation in their extended  families, or knows someone close to them who has been experiencing this.
Bringing awareness is a form of hopeful prevention. If parents have knowledge that this could happen to anyone, then they can prepare their sons and daughters at a younger age of such possibilities.  And yet, can you stop an alienator!
False accusations and pathological lying are common.  The alienators use this devious tool to justify their behavior.  They tell untruths about the targeted grandparent to their spouse and amongst their social circle to elevate their own standing. If you don’t join this cult-like phenomenon, you are cut off.  These lies being told behind grands backs denies them the opportunity to defend themselves.
Alienators often use their spouse to bully their own parents. Bullies don’t expect you to stand up to them. They use fear to accomplish their objective.
GA is about troubled marriages, neuro-linguistic programming, personality disorders, and unresolved childhood issues.  It is a form of mind control within the family. When an adult child uses their power and control (grandchildren are their pawns), they damage to their own children and their own parents. The grandchildren must go underground with their true emotions. They have no one to turn to.  They are not allowed to develop their critical thinking skills.  The effects on the child can be low self-esteem, guilt, depression, a lack of trust.  GA can be inter-generational.
Your son or daughter has witnessed firsthand, realizing that their spouse was able to get rid of you and cutting off your access to your grandchildren; that if they seek a divorce, the result could very well lead to PAS.  Not wanting their own children being turned against them, they may likely choose to remain in the marriage and agree to deny you access to your grandchildren as a means to keep peace in their family. Thus, the spouse aligns with the alienating spouse (Stockholm Syndrome/Delusional Disorder).

Celestial......

I have done most all my chores, housework and office, accompanied in the background, by Andrea Boccelli and Il Divo albums.  They are so heavenly that the chores speed by!  There is nothing so passionate, intense and moving as Italian opera in my opinion. I have loved all music for nearly seventy years, and there is simply nothing music can't move!

Pandora radio does a wonderful job of supplying most any artist and genre you enjoy!

Since my own roots are  Italian/Albanian,  English, and Scotch, my experience is that there is simply nothing those musical roots will not cure!
"Perfect", by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Boccelli:  A perfect album!

Recalling.......

Today was one of many of those wondrous days of aging. I heard ..what was triggering that….from a person I had dated about 4 years ago. (The advantage of having the same telephone # and email for years!)

When I picked up the receiver, I heard someone speaking some sentences which sounded so familiar. Well, that can happen a lot as you age, so I just paused as this brain did a “search”. The man’s voice…… it was so very familiar … I knew from the expectant knot in my stomach. I took a breath because I had stopped breathing as I listened.

I knew that memory is, in reality, something which remains longer than we believe.  Is it a cellular memory? I know little about memory in a scientific way.

My eyes filled.  Now that really hooked me. I literally became fearful this experience would end because…….well, was I too old to remember?  Those song words stopped , and those from another song started.

Like lightening, I remembered, I thought.  I whispered the name…

Then I heard the deepest, richest,  laugh … and it all exploded!  The wonder of the moment filled me as it connected with so many other memories about this person! So this  was the reward of living so long, loving so long. Enjoying each and every moment, almost exponentially,

" Psychologist Explains How Trump Is the Exact Opposite of a Stable Genius"

A Psychologist Explains How Trump Is the Exact Opposite of a 'Stable Genius'

In fact, the president is "like a rudderless sailboat blown about by the wind" — and "highly vulnerable to influence."
Donald Trump (Screengrab)
Robert Epstein, the senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, penned an op-ed on Monday addressing Donald Trump’s numerous lies, reversal and contradictions. In it, Epstein argues that the president is not, as some suggest, mentally ill, but is instead “highly vulnerable to what can reasonably be called ‘sympathetic audience control.’”
As Epstein explains, “all normal people are subject to ‘audience control’ to one degree or another,” meaning they “regulate what they say and do based on who’s around them.” But while “audience control doesn’t usually cause problems,” for Trump it makes him “like a rudderless sailboat blown about by the wind.”
“When Trump is in the presence of someone he dislikes or distrusts, he attacks and will continue to lash out for a while, but not necessarily forever,” Epstein writes. “When someone he perceives as a threat becomes deferential (Rocket Man, for example), Trump not only stops attacking, he also becomes highly vulnerable to influence.”

Meanwhile, the president is “rapidly influenced” by people he “perceives as supportive,” a concept Epstein refers to as “sympathetic audience control.”
“When Trump is in front of a large group of cheering people, his thinking is fully controlled by the crowd,” Epstein adds. “It might seem he’s in control, but the opposite is actually the case. The supportive audience completely dominates his thinking, causing him to repeat, over and over, things he believes the audience wants to hear.”
Trump also, according to Epstein, perceives the world in small time windows, leading hm to shift “his views frequently” — “without shame or even awareness.”
“All that’s shiny and real to him is what friends or foes are saying inside those small time windows,” Epstein writes.
“If I’m right, and I’m pretty sure I am, Trump is capable of only a minimal level of analytical or critical thinking,” the psychologist continues. “Perhaps more alarming, our president — the putative leader of the free world — doesn’t believe in anything and he rarely, if ever, means anything he says.”

"There Are Men Too Gentle to Live Among Wolves" /James Kavanaugh

"There Are Men Too Gentle to Live Among Wolves"
by James Kavanaugh
“I am one of the searchers. There are, I believe, millions of us. We are not unhappy, but neither are we really content. We continue to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. We continue to explore ourselves, hoping to understand. We like to walk along the beach, we are drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. We like forests and mountains, deserts and hidden rivers, and the lonely cities as well. Our sadness is as much a part of our lives as is our laughter. To share our sadness with one we love is perhaps as great a joy as we can know - unless it be to share our laughter.
We searchers are ambitious only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all we love and want to be loved. We want to live in a relationship that will not impede our wandering, nor prevent our search  nor lock us in prison walls; that will take us for what little we have to give. We do not want to prove ourselves to another or compete for love."

Just a possible vision for meditation.....

Children and Meditation

Working with children and showing them how to meditate, is an unforgettable experience. In addition, they will have a process they can use for their entire life.........
Before I retired I had the privilege of working with them.  I let them speak. Not at all a problem for eight-year olds!  What emerged from them, and the thoughts they shared with one another, was one of the most profound clinical experiences I ever had.
In most cases, they simply did not have the tools to do that, but once they gained tools and confidence they were absolutely amazing!
The process linked me to the Divine of kids ... unforgettable!

Truth

“I was in love with him. I knew that much was true. Love was the swelling, hopeful feeling in my chest every time I saw him. Love was the way I could forget about everything when I was with him. Love was the catch in my breath when he looked at me in his intense way. Love was the gasp he could draw out of me with the simplest of touches. Love was the way I could... I could be myself around him, know that I didn't need to be perfect or worry about what he was thinking, because he accepted me.” ― Jennifer L. ArmentroutThe Problem with Forever

Ed Sheeran - Dive [Official Audio]

So.... I just read that Ed Sheeran is now the most popular, most purchased male singer on the planet!

Works for me! Also, I mostly like the general way he purports himself in interviews, etc. For a young man experiencing this global degree of popularity, he is immensely humble and grateful.  When an interviewer asks him questions that seem to push him beyond his personal boundaries, he is clever and respectful, but firm about "not going there".  His fan base covers all ages, a fact which says much.

Sheeran is mischievous, as well as reverent, and undoubtedly his close family ties have contributed to this all of this. The friends he allegedly keeps seem to be much the same caliber. He is about to mary a young women, with North Carolina ties,  who also seems authentic, caring, and down-to-earth.

It will be fun to watch his development and path!

What is Biocentrism?

Biocentrism (from Greek βίος bios, "life" and κέντρον kentron, "center"), in a political and ecological sense, as well as literally, is an ethicalpoint of view that extends inherent value to all living things.[1] It is an understanding of how the earth works, particularly as it relates to biodiversity.
It stands in contrast to anthropocentrism, which centers on the value of humans.[2] The related ecocentrism extends inherent value to the whole of nature.
Biocentrism does not imply the idea of equality among the animal kingdom, for no such notion can be observed in nature. Biocentric thought is nature based, not human based.
Advocates of biocentrism often promote the preservation of biodiversity,[3] animal rights, and environmental protection. The term has also been employed by advocates of "left biocentrism", which combines deep ecology with an "anti-industrial and anti-capitalist" position (according to David Orton et al.).[4]

"Benefits of Meditation with EquiSync@

imitless Benefits of Meditation Quickly, Safely, & Easily With EquiSync®

Deep Meditation
Did you know that people who meditate are scientifically proven to be happier and healthier? It's true. And they have greatly extended life spans, too. As a matter of fact, there have been numerous studies showing that meditation dramatically reduces, and even reverses disease of all types.
But the benefits of meditation don’t stop there. Studies also show that experienced meditators – those who are able to achieve the deepest levels of meditative states – are able to tap into dormant levels of brain function they never thought possible - levels that exist in each and every one of us - resulting in increased intelligencecreativity, and success in life.
In fact, if you do your homework, you’ll discover that many of history’s greatest inventors, philosophers, and scientists received their revolutionary, future-changing ideas during their daily meditation sessions.
Meditation Benefits
Upon closer examination of their brains, meditation practitioners consistently show to function at a higher level than the average person on seemingly every test, measurement, and assessment the scientific community has created.
Just imagine what you could do if you had easy access to deep levels of meditation!
One of the reasons meditators experience greater levels of happiness and health is because meditation significantly increases the brain's production of several euphoric chemicals — the same chemicals that flow through your bloodstream on those days when you've never felt better. Even more, meditation allows these euphoric brain chemicals to be produced constantly.
Meditation Benefits
Meditators also sleep much better than those who don't meditate. As a matter of fact, they have shown to need fewer hours of sleep every night because their minds and bodies are completely refreshed and rejuvenated during their highly pleasurablemeditation sessions.
Meditation is also known for providing its practitioners with superior mental and emotional health, it rids our minds of subconsciouslayers of angerdepressionanxietyfear, phobias, addiction, and sadness, and produces a seemingly perfect mental and emotional balance.
If that was not enough, people who meditate are also known to have more friends, maintain healthier relationships, and feel a great deal more satisfied and contentwith their lives.

The Benefits Of Meditation Are Incredible, How Long Will It Take To Learn?

Deep Meditation Fast With EquiSync®
What would you say if we told you that with just a press of a button, you could have access to the same deep, highly pleasurable, extremely beneficial meditative states as those with decades of experience? And get the same results in much, much less time, plus a host of other life enhancing benefits?
Well, thanks to EquiSync®, you can achieve precisely the same electrical brainwave pattern (also see this page) of profoundly deep meditation safely, simply, and effortlessly. A few minutes of your day is all that is necessary to transform your life!

Harness Meditation's Many Benefits With EquiSync®'s Precisely Designed Brainwave Technology

EquiSync®: Advanced Brainwave Entrainment
Back in 1839, Dr. Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, a Prussian physicist and meteorologist, discovered that when you introduce tones with certain frequencies into each ear, you could actually entrain the electrical patterns within the brain to resonate in very specific patterns, called brainwave states. The last two decades have seen an amazing amount of scientific interest in this world transforming field of study, laying the foundation for the hundreds of studies conducted since then, boosting the technology’s significance and importance immeasurably.
EquiSync®: Advanced Brainwave Entrainment
With these studies in mind, EquiSync's revolutionary, multi-layered, multi-tiered approach was born. Designed to synchronizeand harmonize your brainwaves while allowing you access to the deepest, most pleasurable, most beneficial states of meditation — much faster than the traditional route, EquiSync® has made mastering meditation easier than ever!
Many psychologists, doctors, teachers, and other professionals have endorsed the technology while personally taking advantage of the limitless benefits that accompany EquiSync's precisely designed brainwave synchronizationentrainment technology. It is such a profound field of study that many of the metaphysical benefits, those beyond our current scientific measure and technological & philosophicalunderstanding, have yet to be discovered
